Exploring Menorca

EXPLORE MENORCA

WHERE TO STAY

We'll be staying in the Cala Blanca area of Menorca, slightly south of Ciutadella.

We're hoping that you can stay in this area too so we get to see more of each other!

We'll be staying at the Gran Sagitario

and would love it if you could stay here too!

Another option is the Petit Sagitario

which is the sister hotel over the road (adults only)

Check out TUI, Jet2, EasyJet for great package deals (incl. flights, baggage, transfers, hotel)!!

BEAUTIFUL BEACHES TO EXPLORE

Cala Turqueta: need to get there early (8am) for public parking then 15 min walk from the public carpark. Or, parking is available at Villa Mallaui during the days we have it (16th - 20th September) which is a 5-10 minute walk to the beach.

Cala en Brut: Beautiful spot to swim - 20 min drive from Cala Blanca.

Cala Macerella: 30 min hike from Cala Galdana along the Cami de Cavalls trail. Beautiful but a little challenging in areas with lots of steps.

TOWNS TO VISIT

Ciutadella: historic town steeped in colonial history, bars, restaurants, cathedral and harbour - 10 min drive from Cala Blanca.

Mahon: where the airport is but lots of markets, bars, galleries, restaurants - 45 min drive from Cala Blanca.

Like hiking? Cami de Cavallas is an ancient horse track that runs the perimeter of Menorca. It has been converted to a beautiful hiking track split into 20 stages that you can join from pretty much anywhere! We absolutely love it and always make time to explore a new part of the Cami each time we come back to Menorca.

GETTING AROUND

Car hire is the best way to explore the island and to get around but is not essential.

Taxi service is just one telephone number and they're always around - +34 971 367 111

Bus service is reliable and will still be in full operation in September (as it's high season). You can can find bus timetables at www.mymenorca.info

SEE YOU THERE!
